Apache Wedding Prayer

My grandmother's spirit must have led me to this post. When Rudy and I got married, we included a Cherokee Blessing in our ceremony in my late grandmother's honor.

This is an Apache Wedding Prayer

Now you will feel no rain,
for each of you will be shelter for the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
for each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there will be no loneliness,
for each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons,
but there are three lives before you:
his life, her life and your life together.
Go now to your dwelling place to enter into your days together.
And may all your days be good and long upon the Earth.
