Goodbye 2008 - Hello 2009

Despite a rocky national economy, 2008 has been our best year yet. Here is a brief recap of our year.

In February, we helped Sheketa and Joseph organize a great ceremony and reception at La Luna Banquet Hall.

We celebrated 2 birthdays in March: The Francis twins' 80s-inspired Sweet 16 and the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"-themed surprise 40th at Dave + Buster's. How can I forget to note that I was featured in the premiere issue of Bucks County Woman magazine? WOO HOO!

In May, we worked with Brandy and Geoff to create their glamorous wedding with Paris Caterers at the Palace. We also worked with Sonya and Agoi for their classy nuptials at Blair Mill Inn.

June was special because we coordinated our first destination wedding for Jaye and James on the beach in Cape May, New Jersey.

In August, we worked with Jaye & James again for their big Polynesian-themed reception at Arthur's Catering by Colleen in Southampton. We orchestrated Maisha & Gustavo's boutique hotel wedding at Hilton's Inn at Penn.

We coordinated Ericka and Derrick's country club wedding at Bensalem Township Country Club in September.

We directed the wedding rehearsal for Sonya and Demarco in October. We also did our first Spa Girl Party fundraiser at Sherene's home in Delaware County, PA.

At designated times throughout the year, we engineered fabulous celebrations for Black History Month, Women's History Month, and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Thanks to all of the wedding/event professionals who have worked with us this year. Many thanks to the aspiring wedding/event planners who have assisted on all of these events. Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank all my colleagues (near and far) who have offered advice and inspired me to continue growing.
