Honeymoon at a Bed + Breakfast

If you have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast, there are a few things you should know before you get there.

  1. This is usually a large home, so the bedrooms are just as soundproof as the bedrooms at your parents' house. (I don't think I need to say much more about that.)
  2. Find out what time meals are served. The kitchen is probably not open 24 hours. (The same goes for the front desk.)
  3. Breakfast is usually "chef's choice". Notify the innkeeper in advance if you have dietary restrictions or special needs.
  4. Some inns don't have private bathrooms. If this is an important feature, confirm this before you book your stay.
  5. Expect other guests to be friendlier than you are used to. This is because you are basically "living" in the same house for a few days.
