Wedding Basics: Flower Girl

The flower girl should be between 4 & 8 years old. Any younger, she may not be able to walk down the aisle on her own without much coaxing. Any older, she should be a junior bridesmaid or have another role in the wedding.

The flower girl's job is to carry a basket of rose petals and toss them along the aisle before the bride walks down. The flower girl walks behind the ring bearer and immediately before the bride.
