It is important to bring two people to your final fitting for your wedding gown. It should be your maid of honor, your mother or a bridesmaid -- the people that will be with you during your wedding day.
They need instructions and practice on how to bustle your gown. They should watch and listen closely as the gown consultant demonstrates the proper way to bustle your wedding gown. Most of the time, they will mark the hooks or ties so you will know which ones to connect.
Bustling a wedding gown for the first time can take more than 20 minutes - getting the creases right and finding all of the buttons. So, it's much better to practice in the bridal shop, than trying to figure it out on your wedding day.
