IKEA for Weddings

In one of my very early posts (November 2006), I shared an article with you which included some really cool ideas for unexpected items you can buy from IKEA to personalize your wedding without spending a fortune. Thanks to Todd Fiscus, Todd Event Design Creative Services in Dallas for suggesting these items.

This tea-light lantern is just $5. You can use 10 or 20 of these lanterns to light your aisle for an evening ceremony.

A 6" vase like this one is about $2.50 and the 9" vase is $6. Fill with a full bunch of hydrangea or a large blossom like dahlia for a lush, but inexpensive arrangement.

Todd suggests using a pair of these floor lamp/room dividers in the entryway. The stretched fabric shades can be removed and personalized with a monogram or logo.

The same article also mentions cool stuff from Home Depot, Pier 1 Imports, Kohls, Target, and KMart.

Note: Store merchandise changes frequently, so the items mentioned in here may not be available when you shop (prices may also have changed). Consider what you see here a guide and inspiration.
